Biography

Deng Cheng, Associate Chief Physician and Associate Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Chongqing Medical University. He graduated from the School of Stomatology, West China Medical University, and has been engaged in clinical, teaching, and research work in oral and maxillofacial surgery and plastic surgery for more than 30 years. He led the establishment of the Craniomaxillofacial Plastic Surgery Center.

A leading authoritative plastic surgery expert in China, Director of the Craniomaxillofacial Plastic Surgery Center of Chongqing Medical University, and Associate Chief Physician in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Chongqing Stomatological Hospital, he is acclaimed as one of China's most promising specialists in facial contouring. He studied under Professor Gui Lai, President of the Plastic Surgery Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, and Professor Scek, a renowned French expert in craniomaxillofacial plastic surgery. He pioneered the use of an intraoral incision for bone contouring and reshaping, minimizing facial damage; postoperative facial contours are delicate, refined, and natural-looking.

He specializes in the treatment of maxillofacial deformities, trauma, fractures, cleft lip and palate, and other conditions. His specialty surgeries include orthognathic surgery, mandibular angle ostectomy and contouring, and zygomatic and zygomatic arch reduction. Conditions he specializes in include temporomandibular joint dislocation, oral mucositis, herpes labialis, mandibular fracture, mandibular condylar fracture, mandibular angle fracture, cleft lip, periapical abscess, and others. He led a research project that won the Third Prize of the Chongqing Medical Science and Technology Progress Award.
